Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using SnapAct (the Website, Account, Service APIs, and the SnapAct desktop application), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use SnapAct.

2. The Service

SnapAct is a desktop AI assistant that helps you capture screen regions or text, run OCR, and perform AI actions such as translation. The Website provides marketing pages, account management, license/device management, and APIs for license activation/refresh and update checks.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. License, Trial, and Device Limits

SnapAct may offer a free trial and paid licenses. License enforcement is performed via online activation and periodic token refresh. Some features may require an active license or an active trial.

  • Device limits may apply (for example, up to 5 active devices per license).
  • You may be able to revoke devices from the Account area.
  • We may suspend or disable licenses for abuse, fraud, or violations of these Terms.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

The App can call an OpenAI-compatible API endpoint you configure. When you run AI actions, your input text (including OCR output) is sent from your device to that provider. You are responsible for complying with the provider’s terms, and for ensuring you have the rights to submit any content you process.

Do not submit sensitive personal information unless you understand and accept the risks and the provider’s handling of such data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use SnapAct for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
  • Attempt to bypass license checks or tamper with the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where permitted by law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Website or Service APIs, including by excessive automated requests.

7. Updates

The App may check for updates and may provide download links and release notes. You are responsible for installing updates.

8. Disclaimers

SnapAct is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapAct will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue.

10. Termination

You may stop using SnapAct at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Website, Account, or Service if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date.
